Source: Fashang catalogue

Fashang 法上. Qi shi zhongjing mulu 齊世眾經目錄.

Compiled 570-575. 787 titles in 2334 juan (LDSBJ). Hureau (2009): 760. Bagchi (1927): xlii-xliii. KYL gives the author's name as *Dharmottara (in transcription), but Bagchi states that he was not Indian, but rather, was the same Fashang known for his Dilun works in the same period, as is shown by the fact that XGSZ enumerates the catalogue among his works. Bagchi also states that Fashang relied heavily upon the catalogue of Dao'an [if Dao'an's catalogue was still extant and available to him directly, that might mean that reports derived from Fashang could give us knowledge of Dao'an's catalogue independent of Sengyou---MR].
