Source: T810 Toyuq colophon

Zhu Fashou 竺法首(?). Colophon to the Dunhuang manuscript of the Buddhasaṅgīti-sūtra 諸佛要集經 T810.

A copy of the Buddhasaṅgīti-sūtra 諸佛要集經 T810 unearthed at Toyuq (Turfan), dated 296, which is the earliest existing Chinese Buddhist manuscript, is in Fashou's hand. It bears this colophon, which is therefore the earliest extant physical copy of a record relating to the translation of a Chinese Buddhist text. See Tsui (2013): 63, 80-83, 100-101 (photographic reproduction).
