In his catalogue of forged/fake texts 新集疑經偽撰雜錄, Sengyou reports a Fo suozhi mingshu jing 佛所制名數經, which he says was composed by Shi Wangzong 釋王宗 under Emperor Wu of the Qi dynasty 齊武帝 (r. 483-493): 佛所制名數經五卷 It is unclear whether this Wangzong is the same person to whom the 王宗經目 might be due. [Note that in the above CSZJJ notice, the name Wangzong is treated as a monastic name, though at first sight we might expect it more probably to be a secular name (Wang Zong).] Entry author: Michael Radich |
