T2083; 釋門自鏡錄	The Shimen zi jing lu 釋門自鏡錄 T2083 is a collection of Buddhist tales illustrating karma and vipāka. The preface of this work ascribes it to a Huaixin 懷信 from Lanyu 藍谷. The Taishō attribution is to Huaixin 懷信述. Nishiyama reports that the Song gaoseng zhuan 宋高僧傳 contains a biography of a Huaixin 懷信 from Xilingta Temple 西靈塔寺, Yangzhou 揚州. Against the received ascription of T2083 to Huaixin (mid 9c), another theory (Ogasawara 1936) holds that the author of this work was Huixiang 慧祥 (fl. 667–716), who also wrote the Gu qingliang zhuan 古清涼傳 T2098 and the Hongzan fahua zhuan 弘贊法華傳 T2067. A third view (Ibuki 1988) holds that because of Huixiang's close ties to Korea, […] the name Huaixin was invented in Korea and replaced that of Huixiang. Nishiyama himself argues for yet another different theory, ascribing the text to an otherwise unknown Huaixin 懷信 from Lanyu 藍谷 in the early 8th century. The Shimen zi jing lu 釋門自鏡錄 T2083 is a collection of Buddhist tales illustrating karma and vipāka. The preface of this work ascribes it to a Huaixin 懷信 from Lanyu 藍谷. The Taishō attribution is to Huaixin 懷信述.
