[Felbur 2018] Felbur, Rafal Jan. "Anxiety of Emptiness: Self and Scripture in Early Medieval Chinese Buddhism, with a Focus on Sengrui 僧叡." PhD dissertation, Stanford University, 2018. — 14 n. 18, 39-40 |
Felbur opines tentatively that the preface to the Chu yao jing T212 was probably written by Sengrui 僧叡. The preface itself states it was authored by Sengrui (弘始元年八月十二日僧叡造首), and Felbur holds that this note seems not to have been added later, even as he acknowledges that the note is anomalous. Felbur also judges the style and vocabulary to be similar to Sengrui's other works. Ouyi Zhixu also regarded the preface as his. Entry author: Michael Radich |
