Treated by Fajing as a byproduct/offshoot text 別生 from the *Saṃyuktāgama, with no ascription. An interlinear note gives an alternate title: 恒水流澍[v.l. 樹 M]經一卷(一名浮木譬喻經出第四十三卷).
In Sengyou's Chu sanzang ji ji, the Heng shui liu shu jing 恒水流澍經 is regarded as an anonymous translation, that is to say, it is listed in the "Newly Compiled Continuation of the Assorted List of Anonymous Translations" 新集續撰失譯雜經錄 (juan 4), and is further identified as an excerpt 抄 from some other text:
恒水流澍經一卷(抄).
The Heng shui liu shu jing is not included in T, but it is among the texts carved at Fangshan (Fangshan no. 89). In the catalogue of the Fangshan stone canon, the text is ascribed to Guṇabhadra.
