Demiéville (1954): 364-365 discusses the forms of his name and the problem of its restitution into Skt. Demiéville suggests that this transcription may derive from a Prakrit, Saṅghabhaddaṃ, Saṅghabhaṭa etc. Variants in the glossary of Xuanying and Huilin (T2128) 隥伽跋澄, 橙伽跋澄, 撜伽跋澄. Demiéville also refers to Lévi, Journal Asiatique (1936): 1:89. Nattier (2010) on T309, 232 n. 4, discusses problems with the reconstruction of the name, and expresses dissatisfaction with all alternatives mooted to date; she also refers to a treatment of this problem by Demiéville in HBGR (1978) 281a. The Preface to T212 ascribed to Sengrui reports that he collaborated with Zhu Fonian on the translation of that text (Udānavarga) in 398-399.
